Haycor Private Cloud
Private Cloud Server Hosting With Your Data in Canada
Your servers don’t need to live in a closet at the office. With Haycor Private Cloud, they run in a private data centre in the GTA, with backups and disaster recovery built in, and all of your data stays in Canada.
A robust private cloud with a lower, more predictable spend than Azure or AWS, backed by an IT team that has supported businesses since 2006.
Is Haycor Private Cloud a Good Fit for Your Business?
- You have at least one server in the office, whatever your size. It runs your shared files, your accounting or ERP system, or the software your team opens first thing every morning.
- A server is getting old. It’s out of warranty, slowing down or due for replacement, and you’d rather not buy another one and start the clock again.
- Your key software still needs a server. Plenty of accounting, ERP and line-of-business applications still expect a server of their own.
- Your team works from more than one place. Head office, a second location, home. Everyone needs the same files and systems wherever they sign in.
- You’ve been looking at Azure or AWS and the bill worries you. Public cloud costs can rise and fall with usage. Haycor Private Cloud is built for a lower, more predictable spend.
- You want your data in Canada. All client data on Haycor Private Cloud, including every backup, stays in Canada.
Not sure? Tell us what you’re running and we’ll tell you honestly whether Haycor Private Cloud, Microsoft Azure or keeping a server onsite makes the most sense.
Backups and Disaster Recovery Are Built In
Haycor Private Cloud isn’t just somewhere to park your servers. It’s a full disaster recovery service with backups built in, so protecting your data isn’t a separate project.
Backups every 2 hours
Your servers are backed up every 2 hours, so there is always a recent copy to go back to.
Every backup checked
Each backup is verified for integrity and checked for ransomware, so you aren't counting on a copy that turns out to be damaged.
Restores proven every day
Each end-of-day backup is virtualized and booted locally on the backup device. That proves the backup is good and can actually be restored.
A second copy, still in Canada
Every night, backups are encrypted and uploaded to our backup vendor's cloud, also in Canada, as a second layer of disaster recovery.

Server in the Office, Haycor Private Cloud or Public Cloud?
There’s no single right answer. Here’s how the three options usually compare.
| Server in your office | Haycor Private Cloud | Public cloud (Azure or AWS) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where it runs | Your server room or closet | A private data centre in the GTA | A large provider’s data centres |
| Where your data lives | Your office | In Canada, including every backup | Depends on the regions you choose |
| Backups and disaster recovery | Depends on what you’ve set up | Built in: every 2 hours, every backup checked, nightly encrypted copy in Canada | Depends on what you set up |
| How you pay | Large hardware purchases every few years, plus repairs | A lower, more predictable spend than Azure or AWS | Usage-based, so bills can change month to month |
| If the office loses power | The server goes down with it, unless you have backup power | Servers keep running; staff working elsewhere can still connect | Servers keep running; staff working elsewhere can still connect |
| Who you call | Your IT provider | Haycor | Your IT provider, who works with the cloud provider |
Many businesses end up with a mix: Microsoft 365 for email and files, some systems in a public cloud and key servers in a private cloud. As a Microsoft partner, we work with Microsoft 365 and Azure as well as Haycor Private Cloud, so our advice is about what fits your business.

Your Data Stays in Canada
Moving servers out of the office means trusting someone else with your data. With Haycor Private Cloud, all client data, including every backup, stays in Canada. Your servers run in a private data centre in the GTA, and the nightly encrypted copies of your backups go to our backup vendor’s cloud, also in Canada.
Under PIPEDA, Canada’s federal privacy law for private-sector organizations, your business stays responsible for the personal information it collects, even when a service provider stores it for you. When clients, auditors or your insurer ask where your data is kept, you can tell them: in Canada, backups included. Read our Privacy Policy.
Your email, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive stay in Microsoft 365, where our clients’ Microsoft data is held in Microsoft’s Canadian data centres. Haycor Private Cloud hosts the servers Microsoft 365 doesn’t replace, such as line-of-business software and older file shares.

Businesses we support in accounting and finance, law firms, manufacturing and professional services often depend on server-based software, which makes them natural candidates for a private cloud.
FAQS
Haycor Private Cloud: Common Questions
What is Haycor Private Cloud?
Haycor Private Cloud is a hosted server service from Haycor Computer Solutions. Instead of sitting in a closet at your office, your business servers run in a private data centre in the GTA, and your staff connect to them over the internet. Backups and disaster recovery are built in, and all client data, including every backup, stays in Canada.
Where is the data centre, and does our data stay in Canada?
Haycor Private Cloud runs in a private data centre in the GTA. All client data, including every backup, stays in Canada. The nightly offsite copies of your backups are stored in our backup vendor’s cloud, which is also in Canada.
Are backups included?
Yes. Haycor Private Cloud is a full disaster recovery service with backups built in. Backups run every 2 hours, and every backup is verified for integrity and checked for ransomware. Each end-of-day backup is virtualized and booted locally on the backup device to prove it’s good and restorable. Every night, backups are encrypted and uploaded to our backup vendor’s cloud in Canada, as a second layer of disaster recovery.
How is Haycor Private Cloud different from Microsoft Azure or AWS?
Azure and AWS are large public clouds, and their bills usually depend on how much you use each month. Haycor Private Cloud is a robust private cloud that gives you a lower, more predictable spend than Azure or AWS, with backups and disaster recovery built in and your data kept in Canada. Some systems are still a better fit for a public cloud. As a Microsoft partner, we can help you decide what belongs where.
Can businesses outside the GTA, or smaller teams, use Haycor Private Cloud?
Yes. Haycor Private Cloud runs in a GTA data centre, but your staff connect over the internet, so it works for businesses of any size or location. Your data, including every backup, stays in Canada. We support clients across Canada with remote support, and our Vaughan office handles on-site work around the GTA when it’s needed.
How do our staff use their applications on Haycor Private Cloud?
Staff can work through Remote Desktop Server (RDS) sessions. They sign in to a session on servers in our data centre and use their business applications as if they were sitting in the office, whether they’re at the office, at home or on the road. The applications and data stay in the data centre instead of being copied to every laptop.
How much does Haycor Private Cloud cost?
It depends on what you need to host, so we don’t publish prices. What we can tell you is that Haycor Private Cloud is designed to give you a lower, more predictable spend than Azure or AWS. To see what it would look like for your business, send us a note with the form on this page or call sales at 289-536-3953.
Can you move our existing servers to Haycor Private Cloud?
Yes. We start by looking at what runs on your servers today and which software depends on them. Then we plan the move with you, so you know what’s happening and when, and we test before anyone switches over.
What happens if our office internet goes down?
Your servers keep running in the data centre, so anyone working from home or another location can still connect. Staff in the office that lost its connection can’t reach the servers until the internet is back, so we look at your office connection as part of planning the move.
How do we get support?
Support requests get a 15-minute initial response. Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and our after-hours team provides 24/7 technical support for critical issues. Call support at 905-707-6775.
Can Haycor Private Cloud work alongside Microsoft 365?
Yes. It’s common to keep email, Teams and files in Microsoft 365 and run line-of-business applications or file servers on a private cloud. As a Microsoft partner, we manage both. Our Microsoft clients’ data is kept in Canadian Microsoft data centres, and Haycor Private Cloud data stays in our GTA data centre, so both stay in Canada.
How is hosting with Haycor different from keeping a server in our office?
A server in your office depends on your building’s power, cooling and internet, and on someone noticing when it needs attention. In Haycor Private Cloud, your servers run in a GTA data centre with backups and disaster recovery built in, staff can connect from anywhere, and our monitoring tools watch them 24/7. There’s no server closet left to manage.
